OSX Lion: Good, moderate, bad?
To start off the Limitless Abyss, I thought I would talk about something that probably every mac user has heard of. OSX Lion. Now, some of you guys are probably all like, "I haven't purchased that yet" or "I'm waiting to see if it will get better before buying it" which is totally fine, but it brings me to my main question. For all those mac users that have OSX Lion, how do feel about it? The different layout, the new features, the inability to run some very important Power PC applications such as some older versions of Microsoft Office and Photoshop, has this affected your user experience in any way? For me personally, I found that in the beginning, it was very difficult to work throughout a school/work day without Microsoft Word, and 2008 edition at that. Although I eventually moved on to pages, my photography class was hit next, as I could not get my Photoshop to run anymore. For editing those big time photos, I was surely "screwed" so to speak. Knowing this, and taking into consideration the new and added features to the OS, I came to the verdict that it was not really a necessary update for me, as I would have been fine, if not better off in certain respects, with OSX Snow Leopard. What do you guys think about OSX Lion?
